DECORATIVE CONCRETE
USE
Structural paint DECORATIVE CONCRETE is used for application of decorative effects on interior walls. Allows for arrangement in both contemporary and classical rooms.
Place of use: walls and ceilings indoors.
It is particularly recommended for residential housing and public access buildings (offices, services, malls).
PROPERTIES
Lime structural paint based on natural binder and fillers; ready-to-use; ensures vapour permeability of walls; does not contain cement; forms durable top coat.
EFFECT APPLICATION
Substrate preparation:
The substrate should be:

appropriately sound, stabilized to air-dry state – the assumed stabilization time for substrates is respectively (in standard conditions, i.e. temperature approx. +20°C and humidity 55% - in other conditions the time of drying can extend):
- for gypsum, cement and cement-lime plasters - min. 1 week for each 1 cm of thickness,
- concrete walls and ceilings – min. 28 days,

completely dry,
-
even – fill any gaps with FINITO mass,
-
cleaned – of any coats which would impair product bonding, especially dust, dirt, lime, oil, fats, wax, residues of paint coats and other,
-
primed – with BONDING PRIMER – in case of substrates of poor absorptiveness or of smooth surface.
Product preparation:
The product is delivered ready to use. Mix well before use in order to unify its consistency.
Colouring:
Product of defined colour. The colour can be modified with FOX DEKORATOR system of tube pigment concentrates.
Application with a roller:
Plan the sequence and technique of application in advance, check the final effect on a small sample first!
The paint should be applied with a roller upon limited surface (approx. 1 m² large) and smoothened with a trowel as long as it’s appropriately wet and easy to shape. Keep the coat thickness same as the grain size. Apply and smoothen the subsequent parts until the whole surface is coated.
Slightly moisten the decorated surface prior to the application of the 2nd coat of paint. Apply the coat similarly to the first one upon the whole surface of decoration. When the paint keeps drying it should be smoothened with a trowel led flat against the substrate. When smoothened, the material pores get sealed and characteristic smoothness is formed. Individual, spread gaps and scores strengthen the decoration appeal.
Remember to keep the trowel edge perfectly clean during application.

Plan the sequence and technique of application in advance, check the final effect on a small sample first!
Structural paint DECORATIVE CONCRETE is applied in 2 coats. Apply the first smooth coat, keep the coat thickness same as the grain size and leave to dry completely (12-24 h depending on climate in a room).
Slightly moisten the decorated surface prior to the application of the 2nd coat of paint. Apply the second uniform paint coat. When the paint keeps drying it should be smoothened with a trowel led flat against the substrate. When smoothened, the material pores get sealed and characteristic smoothness is formed. Depending on the technique of application smooth satin glossy surface is shaped. Individual, spread gaps and scores strengthen the decoration appeal.
Protection:
FOX DEKORATOR DECORATIVE VARNISH SATIN should be applied with a soft paintbrush or a flock applicator upon the whole surface. Gently distribute it with crossing moves. Even a single varnish coat already strengthens the decorated surface. Depending on the place of use or effect selected (e.g. significant roughness of the final decoration coat) the need for application of additional varnish coats can occur. The decorative effect depends mostly on user’s creativity, quality of substrate and number of coats.
CONSUMPTION
Average consumption: approx. 0.9 kg/m² (for two coats). The actual consumption depends on substrate texture and absorptiveness, quality of substrate preparation, expected decorative effect, technique of application, user’s experience, number and thickness of coats.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Structural paint DECORATIVE CONCRETE meets requirements of the PN-EN 13300:2002 standard.
IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Minor inclusions in the form of white clumps can occur on the applied paint surface. It’s a natural phenomenon and does not impact the material durability.
Due to great range of substrates and conditions during application, it is advisable to prepare a sample board first, so the technique of application is checked and confirmed.
Use products of the same batch for application on large surfaces.
Clean the tools with water with detergent just after use, before the paint dries.
May cause respiratory irritation. Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage. Keep out of reach of children. Air the room during painting and directly after until characteristic smell disappears. Use individual respiratory protection measures in case of insufficient ventilation. If swallowed, get medical advice immediately, show packaging or label. Follow the instructions of the Safety Data Sheet.
Keep in tightly sealed original and labelled containers, in dry and cool conditions. Protect against high temperature (above +30°C) and freezing – product freezes and irreversibly loses performance in temperature below 0°C. Protect against direct sunlight. Shelf life is 18 months from the production date shown on the packaging.
