UNIVERSAL PUTTY

USE

Ready-to-use, water-dilutable putty designed for filling surface and deep gaps or irregularities (scratches, cracks, cavities) in the surface of wood or wood-based materials.

Place of use: walls and ceilings indoors.

Substrate type: plasters, concrete, stone, plasterboards, wood-like and any sound, previously cleaned and prepared substrates.

PROPERTIES

Ready-to-use; white; good bonding to the substrate; high mechanical resistance; can be grinded, planed, cut or drilled after drying; perfect beneath enamel coatings.

APPLICATION

Substrate preparation:

The substrate should be thoroughly cleaned, dry, smooth and even, free of dust, greasy or resinous stains.

Greasy or resinous wood should be washed with naphtha and dried. Proper substrate preparation speeds up and facilitates the application.

Product preparation:

The product is delivered ready to use. Mix well before use.

Application:

 

Apply the filler uniformly with a metal spatula, press well to fill the whole gap. In case of wider cavities or greater irregularities, the subsequent coats should be applied when the previous ones dry. After drying, grind the whole surface with sand paper. Dedusted surface can be painted or varnished.

TECHNICAL DATA

Temperature of use: from +5 °C up to +30 °C

Number of coats: 1 or more

Time of drying: tack-free surface after approx. 2 h; 24 h in case of large gaps

Application of subsequent coat: after 2 h

Dilution: water – dilute in 5-10% of water if needed

Technical requirements: Hygienic Certificate issued by Polish Institute of Hygiene

Shelf life: 24 months

IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Clean the tools with water just after use.

Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. After direct contact with eyes – wash with plenty of water and contact a doctor, Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. If swallowed: Immediately call a doctor, show package or label. Follow the instructions of the Safety Data Sheet.

Keep in tightly sealed containers in dry conditions. Protect against overheating and freezing.
